9 Steps to Naturalization

Dreaming of becoming a U.S. citizen? Here’s a rundown of the naturalization process.

Check your eligibility. Ensure you’ve been a green card holder for five years (or three years if you’re married to a U.S. citizen), maintained continuous residence in the U.S., and have good moral character.

Gather the required documents. Collect your green card, tax returns, and other supporting evidence of eligibility.

Complete Form N-400. Fill out the N-400 Application for Naturalization form with precision. Every detail counts.  We will help you out.

Pay the required fees. Don’t forget to pay the application and biometric fees. Fee waivers might be available for some.

Submit your application. We mail your completed Form N-400 and all necessary documents to the designated USCIS address.

Attend your biometrics appointment. Once USCIS receives your application, they’ll schedule you for biometrics (fingerprinting) and background checks.

Interview time. Attend your scheduled USCIS interview. You’ll be tested on your English language skills and knowledge of U.S. government and history. Our office will help you prepare for the test.

Wait for a decision. USCIS will review your case and send you a letter once they reach a decision.

The big day. Attend the oath ceremony, proudly take the Oath of Allegiance to the United States, and receive your Certificate of Naturalization.

Naturalization is a journey filled with excitement and responsibility. Keep those American flags flying high!
